چکیده
During 2011-2013, 189 bacteria from four Moroccans regional hospitals were referred to The National Institute of Hygiene (NIH) to achieve phenotyping and genotyping. Galleries Api20E, Api20NE and Api20Sthap (bioMérieux), were used for Biochemical identification and disks distribution method was used for antibiotic susceptibility testing. Genotyping was carried out by molecular biology by searching genes of resistance (CTX, SHV and TEM) for enterobacteria, and gene mec A for the staphylocoque. among Enterobacteriaceae Escherichia coli was prevalent, followed by pseudomonas aerugenosa, sthaphylococoque, klebsiella pneumonaie and acenitobacter baumanii. The second common phenotype is expanded spectrum lactamase"ESBL». CTX gene was the most predominant for enterobacteria ESBL with an expression about 43.6%. The gene responsible for resistance to Methicillin in our case was mec A which detected in the six strains tested Methicillinresistant S. aureus (MRSA).

Evaluation of Phenotypic and Genotypic Expression of Efflux Pumpin Clinical Isolates of Acinetobacter baumannii Resistant to Ciprofloxacin and Gentamicin
Introduction: Acinetobacter baumannii is an important bacteria because of high ability to obtain antibiotic resistance genes and creation of multi-drug resistant strains (MDR). Today, the active efflux pumps has been suggested as one of the most important mechanisms of intrinsic and acquired resistance of antibiotics in bacteria. The aim of this study was Evaluation of phenotypic and genotypic ...
متن کاملPhenotypic and genotypic diversity of dominant lactic acid bacteria isolated from traditional yoghurts produced by tribes of Iran
Morphological, biochemical and molecular characteristics were studied to identify dominant lactic acid bacteria (LAB), isolated from traditional yoghurts produced by tribes of Iran. From 60 yoghurt samples, a total of 137 LAB isolates were determined, in which 66 and 71 were identified as lactic acid cocci and bacilli, respectively. Biochemical tests showed the occurrence of 9.76% mesophilic ho...
متن کاملInvestigation of phenotypic resistance pattern of Enterococcus faecalis isolated from blood and urine samples of patients admitted to Rasoul Akram Hospital
Background: Nosocomial infections can be a major challenge for medical staff and health care providers when it comes to antibiotic-resistant bacteria. Enterococcus faecalis is one of the bacteria that plays an important role in nosocomial infection. Therefore, it is important to study the prevalence and pattern of resistance of this bacterium in medical centers, especially in hospitals. The aim...
متن کاملPhenotypic and genotypic characterization of Candida species isolated from candideamia in Iran
Background and Purpose: Candidemia is one of the most important fungal infections caused by Candida species. Infections and mortality caused by Candida species have been on a growing trend during the past two decades. The resistance of yeasts to antifungal drugs and their epidemiological issues have highlighted the importance of accurately distinguishing the yeasts at the species level. The tec...
متن کاملDetection of TEM, SHV and CTX-M Antibiotic Resistance Genes in Escherichia coli Isolates from Infected Wounds
ABSTRACT Background and Objective: Escherichia coli is one of the most common causes of hospital-acquired infections. Extended-spectrum β-lactamase (ESBL)-producing E. coli strains are resistant to third-generation cephalosporins. The three main genes involved in ESBL production are TEM, SHV and CTX-M. Detection of ESBL-producing E. coli is of importan...
